A 10m charity race organised by Saturday Road Runners and Sinead4fitness with the help of Down Syndrome Ireland Waterford and south Kilkenny branch.
A very unique 10m road race along the very fast, flat and beautiful Waterford Greenway. Not only will a personal best be on the cards on a very fast course but you will also have a unique chance to race against the Waterford and Suir Valley train.
Race the train along the Waterford Greenway from the Railway station in Kilmeaden in past Mount Congreve, WIT Carriganore, The Dan Donovan Tunnel and on towards Bilberry where we will turn around for the return journey to Kilmeaden where the train will keep you or should we say some of you company along the way.
Family and friends will cheer you along as they travel in style on the train shouting encouragement as you try your best for a pb and to beat the train back to the station.
We expect this unique race to sell out fast especially with it’s perfect timing of 2 weeks after the Dublin marathon and 2 weeks before WAC half marathon.
It is open to RUNNERS ONLY and you have to be over 18 on the day to enter.
There will be no registration on the day
Refreshments, raffle and prize giving afterwards in the Sweep bar Kilmeaden.
